Abstract
There are various extraintestinal manifestations of Crohn's disease. Among them, hematologic abnormalities are associated with numerous factors such as consequence of drug therapy, infection and nutritional deficiencies. Immune thrombocytopenic
purpura
is rarely reported in patients with Crohn's disease. We experienced the case from a 27-year-old man, who had Crohn's disease accompanied by immune thrombocytopenic purpura. Because of the poor response to steroid treatment, various
immunosuppressive
agents such as cyclophosphamide, vincristine, and azathioprine were used. Despite various modalities, the patient showed no improvement on endoscopic finding and platelet counts.
